About
Hi everyone! I am so excited to be a part of the Kindergarten team at Conn Elementary. I am thrilled to be your child's teacher, and I am looking forward to a year full of new friends, learning, making memories, and having fun.
A little about me. I grew up in Cary, North Carolina and attended schools in Wake County. I received my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from THE East Carolina University in 2016. GO PIRATES! This will be my third year teaching, all of which have been with Kindergarten, but my first year at Conn Elementary. Prior to working here, I was teaching in Hawaii for two years. This experience was nothing like I thought it would be. I had the pleasure of working on the military base and was able to work with a diverse group of families. Not only did I work in Hawaii, but I was able to be exposed to the different cultures and traditions that they have there. Of course, seeing all the beaches and hiking wasn't so bad either! :)
Along with being a teacher, I really enjoy hanging with my family and friends, exploring new places, and watching football at home with my dog. I am absolutely obsessed with my dog! He is a retired military working dog named Cuervo. He is a Belgian Malinois and is 11 years old. Cuervo is loving the retired life and loves to play with his toys, napping, and getting belly rubs.
